18TH FEBRUARY 2020Leading tool manufacturer, Ad-Vance Engineering has marked the start of the new decade with a trio of successes, including being shortlisted for the finals of a high-profile local business award.
The NI-based company, which specialises in the design, manufacture and refurbishment of injection moulding tools for the plastics manufacturing sector, has been shortlisted in two categories – Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation – by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council.
It will now go forward to compete against a range of other businesses in the grand final on 6th March.
Celebrating the high performing and diverse range of businesses that drive the local economy, the Business Awards provide an important platform for Ad-Vance Engineering to showcase its highly skilled team and its innovative approach to injection moulding.
Expressing his delight in being shortlisted, Roger Vance, MD of Ad-Vance Engineering said:
“This is official recognition for the highly precise nature of work carried out by our team. It also reflects the success of our export drive and growing demand for the bespoke service we provide to top tier manufacturing companies across GB and Ireland.”
The news coincides with a new partnership agreement between Ad-Vance Engineering and the Northern Ireland Technology Centre (NITC) which is part of Queen’s University Belfast. Aiming to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial production, NITC will collaborate with Ad-Vance on a number of technical projects which will add value and drive competitiveness within the sector.
In a third major achievement, Ad-Vance Engineering has attained the globally recognised environmental standard, ISO 14001:2015, marking the company’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and production.
Ad-Vance was noted for its commitment to reduce waste to landfill by processing all ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals on site before being sold to other manufacturers or collected for recycling by fully approved supply chain partners.
“It’s been a great start to 2020 and each of these achievements will only help us further enhance our service delivery and provide a more effective service to our top tier customers.”
