Ad-Vance Engineering`s design office deploys the latest hyperMILL® CAD-S Solid software that integrates 3D and 5-axis milling and turning strategies in a simple user interface. With the further introduction of 6&7 axis machining capability into our portfolio, we are now able to significantly reduce cycle times and further increase productivity-designing and delivering top-end technical tooling solutions against the most demanding timelines.

All tool design is backed by state-of-the-art inspection processes and the latest Solidworks CAD software to maximize design productivity and manufacturing resources.

All our bespoke tool designs are protected through the Governments “Design Right” process which remains in place for 5 years.

As part of our rigorous quality assurance processes, we measure all critical bolster and impression details back to tool data and reject any parts that fall outside specification. All electrodes and finished impression insert are inspected and calibrated to ensure the final build process is a seamless assembly rather than retro fitting. Using advanced GD&T metrology means we can ensure the requirements for all precision manufactured parts can be met.

Ad-Vance Engineering use the latest CNC machine tools, cutting tools and Solidworks CAD design software to assist in precision tool design and manufacture.  Our right first -time approach means we apply rigorous measurement at all critical manufacturing stages against full tolerance specifications to ensure effective and accurate final mould assembly and any spares supplied.

To meet the highest levels of quality A-Vance Engineering use state of the art 5 and 6-axis CNC milling machines from leading suppliers running up to 45,000 rpm. Our machines are maintained to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and consistency.

We are also experienced in graphite machining, CNC turning, spart erosion, CNC sink EDM.

At Ad-Vance Engineering we are committed to maintaining your tooling to the highest standard.  We provide a full on-site toolmaking service enabling us to support all you mould tooling needs.  By modifying existing mould tools in response to product design changes or refurbishment of existing tools we can optimise customers ‘tooling investment and extend the life of their mould tool.  Our highly capable team of toolmakers are experienced in all types of tool manufacture modification and repair, whether your tool is manufactured by Ad-Vance Engineering or produced by an alternative supplier.

We also offer a preventative tool maintenance programme to ensure that your mould tooling is always production-ready and that enables us to identify any wear and tear issues at the earliest possible opportunity.  All our services are backed by our ISO 9000 quality standard.

As part of our continued support to our customers, we have developed a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) plan, a service to protect your tools so they always work in an optimum condition.  Our TPM plan helps to reduce any production down times and breakdowns by offering maintenance and servicing around times convenient for you.  After the manufacture, we individually assess each tool and we set in place a TPM schedule to maximise the tool lifespan. The TPM schedule is based on:

• Customer feedback
• Total parts produced per annum
• The frequency of the tool runs.
